Love Doesn't Give Up

Series: Messy: Loving Others Isn’t Easy

Love Doesn't Give Up

July 07, 2019 | Dane Aaker

Love doesn’t give up. 1 Corinthians 13 has taught us a lot about the truths of love so far, and this week, we’re looking at what can be called its most stubborn aspect. Love doesn’t give up on people. But what exactly does that mean? We’re called to a type of love that covers, and pursues the people in our lives, but every form of relationship gets tested at one time or another. Love covers all, however, love also doesn’t tolerate everything. How do we continue loving when we are hurt or sinned against? What do we do when we feel like giving up on love? Can we love others even through our own boundaries? Examples of steadfast, perseverant love are found and affirmed all over the Bible. We are shown again and again the different ways that the love of God doesn’t give up on us. Loving this way isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. It is worth it to work on love! Watch and learn as we glean knowledge from Scripture and learn how to love like Jesus as we conclude our series.
